It starts with your needs, desires and logistical frameworks, to which we contribute our knowledge of woodcraft & the high quality and character of the English hardwoods we work with. With access to a variety of the finest timbers & stock, we provide you with a wide scope of finishes and effects to choose from: we consider your bespoke need as an opportunity to flex our technical skills! We equally take-on upcycling or repurposing projects, breathing new life into pieces with a history and patina.
We handcraft only from the finest materials and with the greatest care for functional ingenuity and finishing details, inspired by the raw material we have the privilege of working with. Combining traditional woodworking techniques with the finest modern tools & expertise, we fashion items with integrity that delight – unique, innovative, subtle & beautiful fine articles that stand the test of time.
Our bespoke furniture design service draws upon sensitively considered materials & expert craftsmanship for investment or statement pieces that our clients cherish. 'River Glass' Cedar of Lebanon & Wenge
An unique banquet-sized dining table & benches (seats 16), inspired by the flow of our neighbouring River Severn. The elegance of the natural edges & beautifully figured Cedar of Lebanon is contrasted with oversized Dovetail jointed legs and feature Butterfly key benches, inset with river glass – a piece to stand the test of time.

Glass Top Bottle Display Table, from an original French Wine Barrel
A fantastically elegant Glass-topped coffee table made from genuine vintage French Oak wine barrel components, with an ingeniously designed wine bottle rack that holds 14 bottles. The oak has been sanded and sanded until beautifully smooth, then finished with four coats of yacht varnish to give it an elegant sheen.

Solid Ash Pedestal Dining Table with Wenge Detailing
A subtle round solid Ash & Wenge table inspired by a historic design from the Victoria & Albert museum. The harmonious symmetry of the table’s shape is nicely emphasized by combining the lightness of Ash with the depth of Wenge. 'X-Leg' Natural Edged Pippy Oak & Glass Dining Table
A gorgeous dining table in our own Pippy Oak, inspired by the nature & grain of this lovely English wood. ‘X-legs’ is a contemporary variation on the traditional farmhouse kitchen, traditional in our use of Oak, contemporary with its shaped inset glass - ultimately timeless by reason of its fine quality and minimalist structural design.

'Cappuccino' Dining Table, Ash & Black American Walnut Dining Table
A Dining Table design inspired by the layered milk & coffee coloured grain of light English Ash and dark Black American Walnut. It is as uniquely elegant as structurally sophisticated, with stylised iterations of the traditional dovetail & butterfly joints. Sculptural form and attention to detail meet in this fabulous piece.

Cedar console with natural edges & liquid glass finish
An exquisite, proportionally correct console made from 6 year Seasoned 100 year old Cedar, finished with a natural edge and the bark left on. It is sealed using liquid glass epoxy, which gives the piece the high gloss which the Cedar deserves, with the added advantage of making it incredibly hard-wearing and resistant to any possible spillages.

An elegant free-standing Solid Oak bookshelf made from a vintage set of Ash decorator’s trestles, detailed with contrasting Walnut dowels.

‘Higher Mummy Higher’ Swing Seat
This Swing Seat was inspired by its owners & its setting. A beautiful detailed, classical two-child swing-seat it was handcrafted from Teak wood so it may pass down through the generations. The seat has no less than 200 (6mm diameter) Teak dowels set into the seat top, each carefully rounded over and left proud to provide grip for the little ones’ bums. It is hand- engraved with scroll work reading: ‘Higher Daddy Higher' on one leading edge, and ‘Higher Mummy Higher’ on the other. Seven years later it still looks as great as the day the varnish dried!
This design came to inspire a more price-sensitive range of Solid Oak Swing Seats sold in our SHOP, which perform equally well and last just as long.

A fun upcycling project, our bar stools & café table set is made from old Oak red-wine barrels and vintage cast iron tractor seats (seats three) with a bearing assembly.

Dovetail Siberian Cedar Table & Bench
We were commissioned for a contemporary, hugely robust ‘over-engineered’ dining room table and bench set (seats 6). The table can be expanded with removable leaves via the concealed stainless steel leaf mechanism, and features over-sized dovetail joints.
Made from air dried 18" x 4" Siberian cedar wood.

Solid Oak, contemporary style free-standing Bookshelf featuring contrasting Walnut dowels
This bespoke commission design met specific client criteria & preferences. The bookshelf is a piece full of detail: each of the four solid oak shelves are attached in a traditional way with walnut dowels, imbuing it with a subtle character that lends itself to contemporary spaces.

Scaled half-model Yacht set on Mahogany backboard with brass plaque
This commission came at the yacht owner’s request for a scaled half-model of his yacht’s original lines plan drawing, to be hung on the owner’s board-room wall. Made from solid Mahogany and as an item of beauty has provided many years enjoyment to the owner and his family.
We will happily undertake commissions to re-create a half model of your yacht or any famous yacht of your choice. These can be presented in a multitude of ways.
